How do I create Netmemo desktop shortcuts?

  1. Long press an empty area on your home screen
  2. Locate the Netmemo widgets in the list
  3. Click one of them (or drag-n-drop it onto your home screen)
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions

Where does Netmemo store the recorded files on the SD-card?

Netmemo stores it's files in a folder that's typically removed by Android if you uninstall Netmemo. This folder is located here:

/Android/data/com.netify.netmemo/files/

Or, if you're using Netmemo Plus:

/Android/data/com.netify.netmemopro/files/

Note that Netmemo does regular house-keeping in these folders (removes old files), so you don't have to empty it yourself.

I'm not receiving my Netmemo recordings, what's wrong?

Here are a few things you can try/check:

  1. Has the message been delivered, but ended up in your spamfilter?
  2. Do you have an alternative destination e-mail address you could try?
  3. If you are using the external mail application to send the Netmemo message (via a 'Compose' screen), are you able to send regular e-mails from it successfully (e-mails not related to Netmemo)? If not, verify that you have set up your mail client correctly. Netmemo should work with all mail clients, but may be slightly more reliable with the Gmail app.
  4. Does your mail provider support large file attachments? If you make long recordings with Netmemo Plus, the resulting files can be up to 35 MB large. If you are using Gmail, which supports up to 35 MB, this should not be a problem. Note that both the sending and the receiving mail account needs to support large attachments if you make long recordings.
  5. Does your phone have an internet connection? If this was not the case when you first tried to send the recording, the mail app may go into "standby", and may not be super fast to respond when the internet connection comes back. You can try "refreshing"/reloading your mail app when you are online again, hopefully resulting in your draft message actually being sent.
  6. If none of these suggestions made a difference, you can as a last resort manually collect your most recent recordings in one of the following folders on the SD-card:
  7. Netmemo: /Android/data/com.netify.netmemo/files/
  8. Netmemo Plus: /Android/data/com.netify.netmemopro/files/
  9. Once you have safely recovered your most recent recordings of interest, you can try to clear all application settings (from your main program manager, typically from about the same place as where you can select to move applications to the SD card).
  10. As a last resort, try uninstalling and reinstalling Netmemo.

If Netmemo did not work on your device, please contact us. Don't forget to mention what device and which version of Android you are using. We will do our best to resolve all problems promptly.

How do I disable the "tips" found in the Netmemo emails?

If you have Netmemo Plus, you can disable the pre-set content shown in-app and in the generated emails. Here's how:

  1. Open Netmemo (NOTE: the application, not a shortcut/widget)
  2. Click the cog wheel button (to open preferences)
  3. Scroll down until you find the checkbox named "Show tips".
  4. Un-check it.
